How to Deep Clean Your Car Mat
Do you have rubber car mats in your car? You may be familiar with how dirty they can get. This post will show you how to deep clean your car mats and make them look like new again. It is helpful if you can do this outside, however; you can do this inside your home in the bathtub.
Step 1. Locate and Remove Car Mats
Step 2. Dump Loose Debris Into Garbage
Step 3. Fill a Bucket With Soapy Water
Dish soap is great detergent, but you can use others. I have tried laundry detergent too.
Step 4. Pour Soapy Water Onto Car Mats
It is helpful to let the mats soak for a few minutes before proceeding to the next step. soaking the mats will dissolved stuck on stains and debris. Soaking is a preferred method when cleaning stuck on muck and dirt from floors in any room.
Step 5. Use a Scrub Brush to Clean the Dirty Mat
The scrubbing action loosens and removes most stuck debris and dirt including stubborn dirt and debris stuck in tiny cracks. This method is one of the three main energies used to clean. There is chemical energy (soaps), kinetic energy (scrubbing) and lastly heat energy (hot water).
Step 6. Use Remaining Water to Rinse Car Mats
you can rinse in the sink, bathtub or use a hose. We used a bucket because our outside water was off when doing this tip.

Step 7. Take The Mats To Your Shower and Rinse.
It is helpful to have some sort of drain catch to catch any large debris and dirt that can clog up your drains.
