Clean Stove Grates Easily
If you have a gas burning stove then you know how frustrating it can be to try and remove stuck on debris on your grates. Years of cooking adds up to a baked on mess that wont go away easily. Follow these easy steps and years of frustration will be washed away with the dirt and grime on your grates.
Items You Will Need:
Ammonia
Brillo Basic Steel Scour Pads
One Gallon Zip Lock Bag
Respirator Mask
Gloves
Step 1 Remove Grates From Stove
Step 2 Pour Ammonia in Zip Lock Bag
There is no need to fill the bag with ammonia, it is the fumes that will do the cleaning not the soaking in the ammonia. Fill only about a quarter of the way.Step 3 Place Grates in Zip Lock Bag and Seal.
Step 4 Put Grate and Bag in a Place it Somewhere it can Rest and Soak for 24 Hours.
The fumes from the Ammonia will break up the stuck on grime and make it easier to clean.
Step 5 Remove From Resting Place and Carefully Take Grate Out and Dispose of Ammonia.
Step 6 Rinse off and Scrub off Debris. For Best Results Repeat Process
